THE HEART OF FRANCE

One of eighteen official regions of France, this capital region surrounding Paris is the most visited part of France by tourists who flock to the area’s many landmarks and historic sites.

Île-de-France—land between three rivers: the Seine, Oise, and Marne—is home to Versailles, Giverny, Fontainebleau, and Vaux-le-Vicompte, and is the seat of the French government and institutions.
