Wallonia, the Walloon southern region of Belgium, is the French-speaking half of the country, which includes its German-speaking East Cantons along Liège Province’s far eastern border with Germany. Beautiful landscapes and hidden gems that pre-date its industrial heritage should not be overlooked. Forested hills, plateaus, and gorges of the Ardennes make up much of the landscape, bordered by France to the southwest, Luxembourg to the southeast, and Germany (with a small piece of the Netherlands) to the east.
