TED Talks: Ideas Worth Spreading continues to be an insightful, educational resource to get us each really thinking about the issues our world faces; a platform used to identify and disseminate ideas.

This TED video is of an important conversation ultimately about how to seek the truth and promote love in an era of social media algorithms that feed single-lane information. As global citizens, it is increasingly important for each of us to filter through the mass of information—to discover the truth through objective sources.

Journalist, Christiane Amanpour, talks with TED Curator, Chris Anderson, to discuss the need for a “technological moral compass.” She says, “Really be careful where you get your information from. Really take responsibility for what you read, listen to, and watch. Make sure that you go to the trusted brands to get your main information… Unless we are all engaged as global citizens who appreciate the truth, who understand science, empirical evidence and facts, then we are going to be wandering around—to a potential catastrophe.”
