The Netherlands

Nederland, the lowlands, has engineered itself over the centuries to beautifully manage its ever-present waterways. Known for open-mindedness and a direct sense of humor, this small country has always persevered and adapted through enterprise and engineering. Its merchant history is evident in many canal cities like the capital of Amsterdam.

Also known for high education, its many universities are spread around the country in cities such as Leiden, Groningen, and Eindhoven.
