Uruguay

República Oriental

Second-smallest South American country (after Suriname), Uruguay sits on the Atlantic Ocean bordered by Argentina to the west and Brazil to the north. The Uruguay River separates Uruguay from Argentina. The river’s mouth and its confluence with the Paraná River is the Rio de la Plata estuary, both countries’ most densely populated regions to the south of Uruguay.
